Beer Means Business

According to the New York State Brewers Association’s 2018 New York State Craft Beer Economic Impact report, craft beer alone accounted for a $5.4 billion total economic impact throughout the state.

In 2018, 434 breweries produced 19,918 jobs for a $3.5 billion craft industry impact. This produced $722 million in wages and $545 million in taxes paid.

There were 2 million barrels of craft beer produced and $317 million in tourism revenue after 48.6 million recorded brewery visits.

Those numbers only account for visits to craft beer makers, so the number is much higher when other types of local beverage makers are taken into account.

The Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail includes beer, wine, spirits and soda.

Here are the local numbers for the counties in which Brewery members of our trail produce their craft!
